Workshop facilitators

The Science Faculty Collaborative is seeking workshop facilitators to deliver half-day regional workshops during the 2012-2013 academic year with project completion, June 7, 2013 (all final summaries must be submitted by this date). The purpose of the regional workshops will be to introduce the College and Career Readiness Initiative to higher education faculty within the facilitators’ geographic region.  The workshop will also model ideas for application of the first five process standards in the CCR-standards. These process standards are (I) Nature of Science, (II) Scientific Applications of Mathematics, (III & IV) Information/Communication Technology, and (V) Cross-Disciplinary Themes. A facilitator training session will be held in June, 2012. in Corpus Christi, TX. This is a contract position. Each regional facilitator (or two-member team of facilitators) will agree to deliver three to four workshops over an eleven month time frame. A stipend will be paid for each workshop successfully executed following submission of a workshop summary report.
